Biography
Cortney Lowinski is an actor, educator, and certified Miller Voice Method teacher, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Drama Department at the University of Virginia. She holds a B.A. in Acting from Loyola University Chicago, an M.A. in Acting with a movement concentration from the University of Essex East 15 Acting School, and an M.F.A. in Drama with an emphasis in performance from the University of Virginia.

As an interdisciplinary specialist in acting, movement, and voice, Cortney’s work is grounded in blending physical theatre with voice and acting methodologies. She has taught courses and workshops in Chicago, London, and Virginia, and served as a faculty member for institutions such as North Central College, Piven Theatre, Actors Training Center, and Acting Studio Chicago.

Cortney is passionate about creating inclusive, dynamic learning environments and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of performers. She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and continues to expand her professional work while balancing her academic and teaching responsibilities.
