Helen Simoneau Danse's Virtual Module

The Department of Drama's Dance Program invites you to join us for Helen Simoneau Danse's Virtual Module! This program features Helen Simoneau's DARLING (2020), which explores vulnerability and intimacy through the presence and absence of touch. Join us to learn about the creation process of the movement and music, watch the full performance, take a virtual workshop with Helen, and meet collaborators, composer Mary Kouyoumdjian and dramaturge Meanie George, during a virtual Q&A.

  • Virtual Master Class with Helen Simoneau - March 15 - 5:30-7pm (intermediate/advanced modern/contemporary). Limited to UVA students.

    Join Helen Simoneau as she leads a composition-focused workshop exploring the methodologies used to create her latest work, DARLING. The class will begin with movement explorations suitable for any size space and finish with an open conversation about composition and collaboration in dance making.  To register, click this registration link.
