A somewhat fantastical nighttime in a magical wood background, with images of playwright Yunina Barbour-Payne, author Crystal Wilkinson, and an image of a young girl with thick, curly hair, reading a book that emits golden light.

Join us for this staged reading of a new work in progress!

More Blackberries, Please is a re-staging of Crystal Wilkinson’s short story collection, Blackberries, Blackberries. Infused with humor, sadness and honesty, this collection of performance vignettes features stories reminiscent of blackberries – small, succulent morsels of Black Appalachian life that are inviting and sweet, yet sometimes bitter.

Steeped in an awareness of the power of stories, More Blackberries, Please places more than twenty characters in the hands of seven actors for one night of sweet reminiscing!
