U.Va. Day at Virginia Repertory Theatre

Department of Drama M.F.A. Actors Featured!

The U.Va. Department of Drama, U.Va. Career Center, and Virginia Repertory Theatre invite U.Va. alumni and students to Peter and the Starcatcher  Sunday, October 18 at 2:00pm, November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220.  This is a special day at Virginia Rep—it is U.Va. Day! Please join current students, faculty, and alumni for a celebration of the U.Va. Department of Drama-Virginia Repertory Theatre partnership.

Peter and the Starcatcher, is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted by Rick Elice, with an instrumental score by Wayne Barker, and directed by Nathaniel Shaw.  It features Department of Drama M.F.A. actors Evan Bergman, Roger Ainslie, Joseph Bromfield and Les Rorick (Equity understudy).

Reflecting the sharp wit of Dave Barry and an award-winning instrumental score, this prequel to the story of Peter Pan shows how Peter became the boy who wouldn’t grow up and is a boisterous romp across treacherous seas, to an island destined to become Neverland.  A winner of 5 Tony awards, Peter and the Starcatcher has been winning the hearts of both adults and kids since it first appeared on Broadway in 2012.

Virginia Repertory is offering special rates for U.Va. alumni and U.Va. students for the October 18 performance at 2:00pm.  For tickets call 804-282-2620 and identify yourself as a U.Va. alumni or student to get your special rate!
