Joel Chroscinski

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Joel (Alexander) Chroscinski is an actor originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He moved to Philadelphia in 2012 where he attended Temple University and received his B.A. in Theater with a concentration in acting. He came to the University of Virginia M.F.A. Acting program after graduating with his degree this past May (2016). Joel has been a member of a variety of works from Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia to his most recent role in Mary Zimmer’s modern, physical adaptation of The Odyssey. While at Temple he was immersed in a liberal arts education with a focus on “Citizen Artistry”. He has been a stage manager, scenic painter, wardrobe member, and technician. He is excited to devote these three years to acting and to join the UVA family!
